5” Shrinking disc is must have for professionals and home sheet metal shaper as a companion tool to our signature 9” shrinking disc. Sheet metal shrinking discs allow you to bring a panel back into the correct shape during repairs or panel finishing.
Made from stainless steel, the disc is designed to fit any standard 5” sander/grinder/polisher
The disc enables you to shrink back overworked and damaged areas on a panel by creating heat through friction. You will find there is better heat placement using a shrinking disc over torch shrinking and the heat can be dispersed accurately at the center of each high spot.
Any 5” grinder backing pad should work, but may need modified depending on which backer you have
Recommended operating speed for the 5” disc is 3000-6000 RPM.
